To attract a highly skilled work force and maximize employee retention provides an exceptional benefits package.

Following is a summary of DTC’s full benefits package. Details of each benefit are provided upon employment with DTC.

Medical/Prescription Insurance
DTC provides medical and prescription insurance through CareFirst BlueCross/BlueShield offering medical plans and RX plan (15/25/50 with no annual deductible). Permanent, full-time employees are eligible for coverage on the thirtieth day of continuous employment.

Dental/Vision
DTC provides dental and vision insurance through Ameritas Group with the FUSION plan. Permanent, full-time employees are eligible for coverage on the thirtieth day of continuous employment.

Life and AD&D Insurance
DTC provides employees one times salary to a maximum benefit of $150,000. Permanent, full-time employees are eligible for coverage the first of the month following thirty days of continuous employment. This is a 100% employer sponsored benefit.

Short-Term Disability Insurance
DTC provides short-term disability insurance of 60% of basic weekly earnings up to $1,500. Benefits begin on the 15th day of an injury or sickness for maximum benefit duration of eleven weeks. Permanent, full-time employees are eligible for coverage the first of the month following thirty days of continuous employment. This is a 100% employer sponsored benefit. Benefits begin on the 15th day of disability. It is payable only if the Insured’s disability satisfies the policy’s definition of “Disabled”.

Long-Term Disability Insurance
DTC provides long-term disability of 60% of basic monthly earnings up to $10,000, following a 90 day elimination period. Permanent, full-time employees are eligible for coverage beginning the first of the month following thirty days of continuous employment. This is a 100% employer sponsored benefit.

401(k) Savings Plan
DTC provides a 401(k)-retirement savings plan through Fidelity. DTC matches employee contributions at a rate of dollar per dollar up to 3% and 50 cents on the next 2% of compensation, with a 100% vesting schedule at time of enrollment. All employees are eligible to participate in the next succeeding open enrollment period after completing 3 months of continuous employment. Open enrollment occurs on January 1 and July 1 of each year.

AFLAC
DTC participates with AFLAC Supplemental Insurance to provide our employees with a Flex Spending Plan, which allows employees to pay for out-of-pocket medical costs and dependent care costs using pre-tax dollars. Up to $1500 per year can be redirected for medical costs annually, and up to $5,000 per year can be redirected for dependent care costs. AFLAC also provides a variety of supplemental insurance programs to offset out of pocket expenses associated with a serious accident or illness to include employees with additional Life Insurance, Accidental Insurance, Critical Illness, and Cancer Policies. Full-time employees are eligible to participate in the next succeeding open enrollment period after completing 30 days of continuous employment.

Vacation Leave
DTC provides 10 days of paid vacation leave per year of service, 15 days after five years of service and 20 days after fifteen years of service. Vacation accumulates from the start of employment. Employees must complete 90 days of employment before they are eligible to use accumulated vacation.

Personal Leave
DTC provides 3 days of paid personal leave annually. This leave may be used for sick, bereavement, or personal business. If you do not use this leave by December 31st of each year, you will lose it.

Holiday Leave
DTC provides ten paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King’s Birthday, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Tuition Reimbursement
DTC will reimburse an employee 100% of the cost of approved tuition to a maximum of $2,000 per calendar year. The employee must pass with a “C” grade or better. Permanent, full-time employees are eligible after six months of continuous employment. Successive employment may be required to retain the full benefits as explained in the tuition reimbursement approval form.
